tessone
Does the fact that this thread died a while back mean there are no new members who study Korean martial arts? I recently began studying Kuk Sool Won. It's my first martial art (with the exception of a few karate classes in childhood), but I've really fallen in love with it. We work very very hard at my school, but you learn to enjoy the pain you feel the next morning... _________________ Chris Tessone White Belt, Kuk Sool Won http://polyglut.net [ This Message was edited by: tessone on 2002-04-24 10:13 ] Chris TessoneBrown Belt, Kuk Sool Won
karatekid1975
I been here on karateforums for a while, but I just noticed this thread. So I guess I'll post hehehehe. I started in Tang Soo Do. I got to 5th gup (blue belt). Then I moved to NY. Now I do TKD. I'm going for my green belt next month (the 14th). Wish me luck Laurie F

ZR440
Welcome, new Korean MA students. Tessone, nice to see another KSW member here. Hope you enjoy what that content-rich system has to offer. I know I'll never get bored with it. It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
tessone
I absolutely love it. Compared to the things I do at school (Russian and mathematics), it's very humbling. There I can learn something once and just get it. In KSW, I learn part of a form or a technique. Then I practice it. Then I learn the thirty other things I should be doing at the same time. Then I practice and refine more. It's nice to know that you'll never finish. Chris TessoneBrown Belt, Kuk Sool Won
ZR440
Yes, it's never-ending. I'm testing for my blue belt in two weeks. Who's your instructor? Did your class attend the Mid-West Masters Expo in Detroit recently? It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
tessone
My chief instructor is KJN Bob Zefo (you can see him on the WKSWA "Masters" webpage). The asst instructor is my friend, KSN Will Culbertson, who is a student here at Knox. I don't think our school went there. They're going to a tournament in St. Louis this weekend, though. I have fraternity stuff to do, so I can't make it to watch. Chris TessoneBrown Belt, Kuk Sool Won
