Yoshimitsu
Yes, that would have to be my recommendation as well. After I started practicing more often I got faster. I'm up to 80 punches in 20 seconds and 100 is easily within my limits I think as long as I focus myself. Michael Smith
ramymensa
Practice is indeed the key. Work hard, learn everything with great attention, again work and the time and efforts would make the difference World Shotokan Karate

SaiFightsMS
Lots of practice. Practice at slow speeds and full out. Go full out until you get sloppy. Then go slow until you get a bit of a recovery. Then go full out again. Keep doing intervals like that.
omnifinite
Yeah... when doing things quickly over and over it's very easy to get sloppy... and doing something sloppily won't teach you anything but bad habits. Better to do 10 great punches a day than 100 out of control ones. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
tenkamusou
Do a series of punches very very slow first so you can see wich muscles u've to focus on when u do a punch... and them raise the speed bit by bit... the same things with kicks... for punches make sure to relax the shoulder when doing the fast punches... the more relaxed more speed u'll gain... If you could improve yourself in only three or two months, everybody would be invencible...
delta1
Relax. Speed comes primarily with relaxation. Tense muscles fight each other to move. Freedom isn't free!
Killer Miller
Relax. Speed comes primarily with relaxation. Tense muscles fight each other to move. Delta1 is the closest one to the answer so far. Practice "does not" make you fast. Doing a bunch of techniques fast does not necessarily make you fast or effective... I don't have time to go into detail right now on the subject, but when I get time to do so, I will. - Killer - Mizu No KokoroShodan - Nishiyama SenseiTable Tennis: http://www.jmblades.com/Auto Weblog: http://appliedauto.mypunbb.com/Auto Forum: http://appauto.wordpress.com/
