TKD_McGee Posted October 3, 2001 Posted October 3, 2001 Its basically paganism if you take it seriously. I mean come on look at the Chinese Calendar... and Kung Fu Styles! Do unto others, as they done to you.
Karateka Posted October 3, 2001 Posted October 3, 2001 I promote my Martial Art to my way of life for the very reason that it makes it simpliar. "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
Joecooke007 Posted November 26, 2001 Posted November 26, 2001 I would definately lead the life of a martial artist. But I need a way to support myself (financially that is) Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
SaiFightsMS Posted November 27, 2001 Posted November 27, 2001 I find I definately think about this topic. I see the world much different than I did before I started training. I was in a pretty awfull state of mind when I started. Some things changed almost instantly. Some of the changes were more gradual. Some things I hope will never stop changing. It is not just the physical changes. I see others and myself differently now. I have more respect for life than i did in the beginning. And I find myself doing odd things now. Like I brush my teeth standing in shiko dachi and I stand in crane stance if front of the microwave waiting on my dinner.
moobrack Posted November 28, 2001 Author Posted November 28, 2001 yes, It actually makes some instances in life easier than before you started training, e.i, being able to roundhouse kick a soccer ball into the back of the goals. I love the benefits, but remember, for the benefits to keep on rolling out, you need to train hard.
