fireka
i could probably find one, but if not i can give you one popular hollywood example. if youve ever seen "Crouching tiger, Hidden Dragon" Jade Fox uses it in the fight were she kills the police officer. it looks like a long skinny towel and its spirled around when held. Also in the anime world, if that helps any, Master Asia uses it as his primary weapon in 'The Mobile Fighters, G-Gundam" ill look for a pic "i could dance like that!.......if i felt like it...." -Master Betty
fungku
A whip-chain is about 3-4 feet long, I am not good about judging distances, and then there is a rope javelin which is about 16 feet long. I think that if you have extensive weapons training: staff, sticks, nunchuks, whip-chain and rope javelin (like Jackie Chan), you will be able to use anything as a weapon, like a towel , or a shirt, or even raw dough (okay, that's from a movie ) Visit Shaolin, Chinese Martial Arts - I don't fear the 10,000 techniques you've practised once, I fear the one technique you've practiced 10,000 times. -
KaratekaAikidoist
I saw both Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the G gundam episode and I have NO idea. Maybe a shoge?
stephen lee
I think you are referring to a rope dart!! I have no knowledge on this weapon other than it is a large heavy dart, on a rope!lol! looked into it once, but honestly with flexable weapons, you should first be well trained in form, as these weapons RELY almost entirly on the correctness and efficency of your form. the color of a belt, can be a false sence of accomplishment. LordBucket
Rope Dart $20 If you want to buy one: http://usawushu.com/shop/weapons/traditional.html Insanely difficult to learn. Watch Shanghai Noon for the best rope dart fight sequence I've ever seen. (Jackie Chan ties a horseshoe onto the end of a rope and uses it like a rope dart.) Occassionally a video will show up on kazaa with a rope dart sequence. Shorin Ryuu
There is also a weapon that is just flat-out, a weighted rope. As the name implies, it is just a heavy rope. I think it was maybe in Once Upon a Time in China 2 or 3 (Jet Li movie). Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/
