thaiboxerken Posted June 23, 2001 Posted June 23, 2001 I like Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee for their technical ability that they show in the movies, as well as the fluidity and grace. Jackie Chan is fun to watch and is amazing because of all the nasty stunts that he does. Van Damme and Steven Seagal are the worst martial artists to hit the silver screen. They had a couple of hit movies but it is still apparent that their skill levels are low. Also, I don't like Seagal because he's arrogant and beats women. _________________ Just kick 'em, they'll understand. Angus Posted June 23, 2001 Posted June 23, 2001 Actually, Chuck Norris does Tang Soo Do, and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do ( i think). My fav are: Norris, Jackie Chan, and of course Bruce Lee... Oh yeah, and Jerry Trimble's a movie star now too, so he'd be one of my favourites. Seagal beats women!?!?!?!? I WANT A PIECE OF HIM!! Angus. Karateka Posted June 23, 2001 Posted June 23, 2001 I like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Bruce Lee (although I don't agree with his style). And to Lars about Romeo Must Die and the twin kicks, I have seen it done! It is hard, it involves taking the energy off the first kick and transferring it to the other side. It is a nice flashy kick, but it works [ This Message was edited by: Karateka on 2001-06-23 14:06 ] "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
Karateka_latino Posted June 23, 2001 Posted June 23, 2001 From the Old school,... Bruce Lee, hwang jang lee. Now.. Jackie Chan .. Jet li's Fist of legend Americans Chuck Norris.
Kickbutt Posted June 23, 2001 Posted June 23, 2001 I love Jet Li, Jackie Chan and of course being a woman, I also love Michelle Yeoh... If you think something small cannot make a difference - try going to sleep with a mosquito in the room.-Unknown-
Kickbutt Posted June 23, 2001 Posted June 23, 2001 I also need to put in my two bits about Jean Claude Van Damme - I loved the movie Bloodsport, however am not very impressed by the size of the man's ego. To me, Martial Arts is about being humble and Van Damme seems to have forgotten that... If you think something small cannot make a difference - try going to sleep with a mosquito in the room.-Unknown-
Angus Posted June 25, 2001 Posted June 25, 2001 I forgot all about Michelle Yeoh! I loved her in Tomorrow Never Dies! She's SEEEEEXY!! I don't even think Van Damme's a real martial artist! Soooo bad! I don't like the guys ego. It's almost as bad as mine and that's deploreable!!!!! Oi karateka, what's wrong with Bruce Lee's style? I would like your opinion on JKD. Later peoples!
