A big change

Recommended Posts

I've been training and fighting NHB with the hopes of going pro. I've done a few events and was champ at my gym for awhile but I'm getting bored with it. I stopped going for about a week and now I'm questioning whether or not to go back. It stopped being fun. Now I'm seeing it as being rather pointless.

Sorry but this post doesn't really have a meaning. Noones awake at the moment and I just needed to tell someone.

It's possible that your tastes have just changed. It happens. Maybe this means you should try something new.

However, this could just be a slump. We all get burned out sometimes...believe me! Competition can get boring after awhile, especially if you win all the time, which is what it sounds like. Warm yourself up with some training, and seek out some competition! All it takes is getting the snot kicked out of you ONCE to get inspired to train again :)

Fighting for the sake of sport IMO is pointless. Now thats not to say I don't love a good boxing match, UFC, or street fight. LOL

However the true Martial Artist will realize their is a much bigger picture than just beating another person up. MA should be used to better yourself and help others.

No one traines harder than someone preparing for a fight, fighters are extremly motivated in most cases and have the desire to go above and beyond, it forces you to expand and better yourself to stay above the competition.

for that reason i would have to think the exact opposite..
