Warp Spider Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 They use paper wad bullets with infrared scanner at the barrel of the guns. The explosives are weak, you'd have to be urinating on the bomb to get hurt by them. War games and training, they are glorified Laser tag. Well, how does that make it unrealistic? Is the blood spraying from your victim going to blind you and change the outcome that much? If not, then does it matter what the bullets are made of? However, in a "NHB" match, there are things that are not allowed, that definately COULD change the outcome of the match. Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
Karateka_latino Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 Starting to go off topic. Please, stick with the original discussion, which was Ninjutsu v Jujutsu. Thanks.
TJS Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 However, in a "NHB" match, there are things that are not allowed, that definately COULD change the outcome of the match Yet you attempt too discredit the Early UFC's when there were no rules. atleast none that favored anyone. Anyone that argues that "war games" are closer to war than true NHb is to real fighting is blindling beliving a load of * or likes to create double standards.
sano Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 kyle san i saw on the discovery channel that they did teach such things. falcon kick!!!
Kyle-san Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 kyle san i saw on the discovery channel that they did teach such things. Did, as in past tense, used to, in the past. Any legit school you'll be able to find in this day and age will not be teaching such things in their class.
Treebranch Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 That's not entirely true Kyle-san. Some very good schools teach that stuff if you are interested in it. Metsubushi Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 ok sure, i have an 8th kyu rank in ninjutsu and i have also trained in traditional jujutsu along with the ninjutsu, they are almost identical, in comparison of wristlocks, throws, takedowns and striking, the weapons fighting might be a bit differentspeacks correctly ninjutsu does a bit more but baseically the same
Dave Loche Xi Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 personally, I never thought of Ninjutsu to be anything like Jujitsu... but after reading the legit posts in this topic I'm really starting to think about the reasons behind the style of Ninjutsu, and (having only ever trained with Jujitsu) I realize that they really are quite alike. You learn something new every day
Reklats Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 but i do know for a fact that JJ do not teach people how to jump from high places like a tree. Next week: Disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
