Warp Spider Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 They were stealthy and agile in order to be able to escape or flee without being noticed, just like a modern day Navy Seal or Special Forces types. No offense, but the Navy Seals get their butts kicked in almost every military simulation they participate in. Having said that, I could see tree climbing and whatnot being useful to a ninja but I don't know how handy jumping out of trees would be. Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
Tibby Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Anyone know of any good books about the mental aspect of it? Someone was telling me about this book he read about the Ninjitsu way of Mental attacking a foe. What do you guys think? A crock, or should I check this book out?
Tibby Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 No offense, but the Navy Seals get their butts kicked in almost every military simulation they participate in. Really? Where did you here this?
Treebranch Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Look for the Stephan Hayes books, I really don't know anything about the other books out there. Warp Spider Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 No offense, but the Navy Seals get their butts kicked in almost every military simulation they participate in. Really? Where did you here this? I recognize that the US military is embarrassed to tell you that, but they have war games versus the Canadian military every year and lose every single time. It's not that they're a bad military, just that they are heavily mechanized, designed for wide-open desert fighting, and that doesn't mesh well with special forces. Kyle-san Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Canada has a Military?? Barely, but, yes we do. Our special forces group is especially well trained, or so I've been told.
Warp Spider Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 JTF II is actually more-or-less world renown as being the very best special forces in the world. Too bad your helecopters are so bad. Paladin - A holy beat down in the name of God!
Treebranch Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 So maybe Navy Seals should study Ninjutsu, but the Israeli Special Forces are known to be the best in the world. Tibby Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Stephan Hayes, you say? I will it out.No offense, but the Navy Seals get their butts kicked in almost every military simulation they participate in. We specialize troops. Some troops are sent to train in Dezert, others in mountians, others in forrests, etc, etc. Aside from that, I don't think " annual war games with canada" counts as "every military simulation they participate in."
