DED
Hello everyone, I've been training in Judo for 7 years now and i'm thinking of now taking up Aikido (Yoshinkan) and Hung Suen Wing Chun. Would these two arts be good to train in simultaneously?
jiu-jitsu fighter
I would chose one. "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
Kyle-san
Aikido would be close to your Judo training than Wing Chun, however Wing Chun would teach you the strikes that are lacking in Judo. Personally, I'd go for Aikido.
Kensai
Yoshinkan Aikido, wow. That would perfectly compliment your Judo training. You might want to take a few Wing Chun lessons to get some solid short fist striking. Best of Luck.
hobbitbob
Go with Yoshinkan Aikido. It will include atemi. If you get a chance, read Robert Twigger's book "Angry White Pajamas," Its about a lazy, layabout English ex-pat in Tokyo who stumbles into the riot police class at the Yoshinkan Hombu, and his adventures therein. Its hilarious, but also thought-provoking. I have to admit I identified with one of his roomamtes, "Fat Frank," the womanizing Iranian English teacher. There have always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm!

Kensai
I never said he had to be proficient, nor do I assume that Wing Chun is easy to learn. But taking 2 arts from the word go is not an easy thing to do. A very small amount of WC will help understand Atemi better.
DED
Thanks for all your help. I think I will take Aikido now and some WC classes once I get settled into the Aikido place.
TJS
if your looking for good hands, I would suggest a boxing gym over WC...
