I disagree with you their TJS. BJJ is not the only style that trains hard you know......

Well........

Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu, I consider the king of the JJ styles, being one of the first styles in Japan. It was the style used by the Takeda family, which ruled Japan for sometime.

Kinto/Kito Ryu, was the first ground fighting style in Japan. This was one of the styles that influenced Judo the most and therefore kosen judo and BJJ.

I know very little about Kage Ryu, Iso Ryu, there are a lot more, but these are the only ones that I could think of.

They do not feel the need to stroke there ego by taking someone down.. they KNOW they can take someone down. That is like asking a Shaolin Kung Fu master, why doesnt he fight in MMA events... because he doesn't need to. Why does he have to prove that he can beat someone up?

i don think the technique is inferior i think the training meathods usually are though.

they KNOW they can take someone down.

so what if someone said they were the best basketball player in the world but they had never actually played basket ball, what would you think?

what if i said i can beat mike tyson is a boxing match but chose to never box.

i understand not everyone wants to compete, but sometimes it's a proving ground that is neccesary to seperate reality from fiction.
