TJS Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 as soon as the permit to carry law went into effect here in Austin, Texas the first incident was from a thug who got out of his car and started punching someone who cut him off...he got shot dead on the spot..i guess that would be the last time he picked on someone. i keep a nice oc spray container next to me, just let them get upt o the window and boom
BKJ1216 Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Well it wasn't really me who did it it was my dad. A couple years ago a bunch of punks had a paint ball gun, they drove up on the side of use and started shooting the car, my dad ran him clean off the road. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
omnifinite Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 There was a story in the paper the other day of a local driver. Someone needed to merge into this person's lane because their own lane was about to end, but the driver just refused to let them in. Eventually the person trying to merge had to hit the gas and speed in front of them or they would have been run off the road. This somehow caused the person who wouldn't let them over to lose control of the car when they had to slam on the brakes and they were killed when their car ran off the road. It isn't a funny story, but, I guess it's a good reminder that it really doesn't matter if you're one car length further from your destination than you were before. I don't have road rage thankfully. There are so many thousands of variables going into how traffic progresses that I just view it like the currents in a river... unexplainable and uncontrollable. If there's just one person causing all the trouble, usually you can get around them or they'll go their separate way soon enough. I was in a car once when I was a kid, and the driver of the car I was in (a friend's parent) cut someone off, and I looked back and I think I saw the other driver pull a gun out, but the girl with him made him put it back down. It happened so fast I'm still not sure if it was my imagination or not. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
SaiFightsMS Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Road rage is not a funny topic. It is a by product of too much haste and poor self control which is unfortunately all to common today. Much better to slow down and let things slide and get where you are going in one piece. And in a better frame of mind.
unknown Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 i hate people who are on their cell phones while they are driving then automattically switch lanes without signalling or anything. i hope they crash and burn one day!
Withers M.A.A. Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 When I had my Cobra I was driving home from the shooting range. Someone cut into my lane so I beeped at him and then sped off. Well about a minute later this maniac caught up to me and tried to ram his car into mine. He cut into my lane I slammed no the brakes and he almost hit the guard rail next to me. I slowed down as he was ahead of me. He then stopped. I tried driving normally and then when I got next to him he tried it again. So I stopped. He was about 15 feet ahead of me and he stopped. I drew my gun from my holster. When I tried creeping by him he got out of his car wanting me to fight him. Little did he know he had a handgun pointed at him. (I had it out of his site) I sped off as he tried tokick my car. He chased me but having a 500 hp. Mustang Cobra paid off as he never caught me.
