True most Thai Boxers dont do well in boxing and stay at low levels mainly because most good ones choose to stay in MT.

Not saying they could all compete at high levels in boxing.

Carknek, you dont understand MT at all.

Its full of tricks and is very hard to go against. the kicks are unique and it has a large range of kicks which most people dont see or notice when they watch it.

#1 Do not tell me I dont understand when I do.

#2 Just because you have a pro boxing coach, and some of your guys are good, does not mean as a whole MT fighters could BOX as good as boxers. Maybe... MAYBE very few of them could compete beyond the amateur level.....MT fighters are good at what they do ninjamaster, just like boxers are good at what they do.

So, please do me a favor and do not diss boxing by saying that alot of MT fighters stay in the lower ranks because the good ones stay in MT, speaking as if the good ones did come to Boxing, they would be something special.

Calm down. Youre going mental over nothing.

MT varies from club to club and some specialise more in boxing, some the knee, some kicking etc.

The clubs that specialise in boxing can keep up with boxers. You cant compare the boxing you see in a MT ring with what they can do in a boxing ring.

It doesnt work like that.

You cant box to the same degree because you are fighting at different ranges. Therefore kicking and kneeing comes into it and and will limit the amount of punching you do. Remove the MT stuff and let them box and they will look alot different.

I would not diss boxing and dont believe i have as i would be dissing myself as i train at a pro boxing gym and MT gym on different nights. This does not just apply to where i go though.

I think that Mt would win over boxing and kickboxing for sure. Mt just has so many more atacks and its much more effiective. Mt fighters are good boxers, actually alote of Thailand Mt fighters come to america and box in the lighter wieght devisions and become champions. and ninjamaster, do you live in kitchener, ontairo, canada? because thats where lennox louis did all of his training before he bacame world heavy wieght champion, actually my old Mt instcuctor trained at the same boxing/ mt gym as him.

Now, im not just saying muay thai just because of the whole kicking.

As i see it, a punch is a punch, a kick is a kick. It depends on if the mt or boxer trained harder at the timing, did more co-ordination, lifted more weights, trained more, etc. But over all, a mt would cream a boxer. I doubt, unless with extra cirricular activity, a boxer would have a hard time dealing with all of mt's knees (especially that one move where they jump off the knee and plant thier knee in the dudes face) and elbows. and with all the lock ups and clinches, a boxer would be helpless but to sit there and defend the entire time. Its a fact, the elbow is one of the hardest things on the human body. Harder (if used correctly) than a fist. All a mt would have to do is just constantly pound on one of the boxers legs untill he couldnt shift his weight on it. I doubt many punches would be thrown then. Unless the boxer has a good general instinct to hook under the leg, take him down, and beat the crap outta him, then he is like....a fish in a thing of pudding versus a grizzly bear.

Hello I myself am a pure boxer I've been doin it for 7 years now I've researched other sytle so I'm not oblivious to whats out but I'n my best opinion Boxers would beat a Kickboxer and Muai Tai if you take the best boxer verses the best Kickboxer/Muai Tai I'll bet on the boxer. You guys might think boxers suck because its not a asian MA because you think the asian fighting style's have all the answers and you guys think because you saw Gracie and some UFC guy defeat a boxer that all boxers suck. The thing is the boxers on UFC are "ametuers boxers" verses the very best of the world martial artist. It would be a different story if the best martial artists had to face overall skill and quickness of Roy Jones Jr. or the size and power of Lennox Lewis.
