Its 90 miles south of Bagdad. Glad to see it took us 5 days what it took the inspectors 5 months not to find. I hope the French, Russians, and Germans realize now the problem Iraq has been.

Chemical weapon find report 'premature': US

March 24 2003, 1:32 PM

Reports that US troops have found a suspected chemical factory in Iraq were "premature", the Pentagon said today.

Officials were trying to determine whether the plant, near the city of An Najaf, which US troops reached today on a push to Baghdad, was involved in making chemical weapons, officials said.

Asked at a news conference in Qatar today about reports of the chemical plant, Lieutenant General John Abizaid of US Central Command declined comment, AP reported.

I'm sure proof of weapons of mass destruction will be found eventually, Its a shame we have to use our own weapons of mass destruction to find them.

Yes, it's a shame that it takes weapons to find weapons, but I would hardly say we're using weapons of mass destruction, we're being as surgical as anybody possibly can. Becuase of that there will be even more dramatic of a public outcry if Saddam should use his. I suspect we won't find any concrete evidence that he has them until he either uses them, or the war is over and we find them in Baghdad. I think he is probably keeping them very close at hand so that he can use them when he wants and we don't find them prematurely. Don't worry G95, vindication is coming!

Might as well take my advice--I don't use it anymore.
