Taijutsu hand strikes are also very effective and the power generated comes from your entire body. Kamae is the key to it's effectiveness and power. Taijutsu strikes are designed to effect the structure of the body, it is not only used to knock someone out. Boxing strikes are very effective also, if you are using your body effectively. If you rely only on the power of your arms to strike effectively, your not doing it right. Learn to generate strikes that come from the momentum of your body and you can generate devasting blows that seem to come from nowhere.

Well, every style has good hand strike but I would just keep it simple with Boxing.

The principles behind Taijutsu strikes are not only punch the opponent, but by following through with your body causing the structure of the opponent to move in the direction you want him to, taking his balance and taking him out, fast.

Kenpo, American Kenpo in particular, has as complete a repetoir of strikes as any art I've seen. Far more than most. There are probably others which can also make this claim, but boxing?

any style can have effective hand strikes - it's all in how you train them. That being said, The punch I would be most leary of is that of a boxer.

The phoenix eye will vary depending on the style you are in. I learned it with the forefinger, not the middle. IMO, the forefinger is more stable.
