remember angie and steve walk before you run,don't jump kata's ,learn them as you need them, perfect the kata you need for your grading. By the way!!!! NOT LONG NOW TILL GERMANY.

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! sorry, gettin exited bout Germany, calm down, right, i know some bits of higher katas, i just wanna learn them 4 a bit of fun, i know the ones i need for my gradings,

Learned a new Kata. Called Niseishi in Shi-to Ryu, I think it is called Gojushiho in Shotokan, not quite sure. Good tournament Kata.

I remember once a friend and i learned the "Gankaku" kata from the Best Karate book of Nakayama. lol

 

At first the intructor was upset with us. but then when we performed , he congratulate us because we did it great. lol

 

Those book are excellent.. I miss my rookie years. lol :smile:

I try to learn kata outside the dojo. I always screw up during presentation though. I have to do some kata for a tournament coming up.

Oh well karateka, I don't know which kata you do better.. pick the one you are already good at and train until you perform it perfectly.

Okay i learnt a bit more since the last time i bin on ere, the katas i now know are:

 

Kion Kata

 

Heian Shodan

 

Heian Nidan

 

" " sandan

 

" " Yondan

 

most of Godan

 

Tekki shodan

 

Bassai Dai

 

AND niju shio

 

I think katas are fun

 

and just for the record, i still wanna know Jion and Jitte
