stencil Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Yes, New York is where it's at! And stuff. Anyway, I find the whole multi-colored, patch-laden Gi thing a bit suspect. But that's just me. White Gis are cheap, easy to clean, and not flashy, as the student of martial arts should be.
chh Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 I agree. All serious karateka should be cheap and easy to clean.
hobbitbob Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 I agree. All serious karateka should be cheap and easy to clean. hey, I'm not cheap...a girl has to let me sit inside Mcdonalds when she takes me out...just the drive-through gets you no where! There have always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm!
stencil Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I'm pretty cheap, and I'm easy to clean. I'll stick with what I said.
SaiFightsMS Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I agree. All serious karateka should be cheap and easy to clean. Err, the karateka is the student; the karate gi is the uniform.
hobbitbob Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 Perhaps we should have a 'humour' icon? There have always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm!
fireka Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 i recently oredered my first gi, its black to, is that wrong? okay actually i know its wrong, but i really dont see a need for the color strictness on the gi, i mean im a traditional student and everything but, well *mumbles* the black just looks cooler. "i could dance like that!.......if i felt like it...." -Master Betty
SaiFightsMS Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 Wether it is "right" or not depend on the policy of the school you attend. Actually I like black pants with a white top.
