dark_adjudication
Are there any good books or web sites that go into detail on nerve strikes/attacks? I have a basic understanding of the basic target areas but I am looking for something that goes into more detail. Like how deep the nerve is, can you use a grab attack and what are the likely effects of the attack. Anyone? Bretty101
Have a look for Rick moneymaker on the internet, and the Dragin Society. Lots of stuff on pressure points if thats what your looking for. I find that sort of stuff really interesting. Rick Moneymaker also looks at how these strike tie in with Katas and applications of moves. Hope that helps Bretty
omnifinite
I went to a seminar taught by someone who studied with Rick Moneymaker... good stuff. Gave me a better grasp of how the elements interrelate. Also went over Yin attacks and Yang attacks and people's responses to them. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
TJS
Anything by Prof Dillman and the Black Medicine series of books. I was always curious why Ryan parker, one of dillmans top students was not able to pull off any of these techniques while he was being choked out by remco pardoel at UFC 7. LOILOI44
Anything by Prof Dillman and the Black Medicine series of books. I was always curious why Ryan parker, one of dillmans top students was not able to pull off any of these techniques while he was being choked out by remco pardoel at UFC 7. I had heard that Ryan Parker lost the match because he did not really train specifically for a UFC enviornment. I also heard that Remco Pardoel was urinating blood for a few days afterwards. Sounds like Parker lost the battle but won the war.
