Hi guys! :D

I am doing aikido right now and I am really enjoying it, but I am searching for a martial art that is kinda "rough and dirty" like muay thai. Because I feel in need for something like that .

Is eskrima/kali a little rough or soft? could u guys please recommand me a nice and rough addition to aikido? i was thinking of muay thai or bjj. but I only want to add one more other sport to have enough time for proper training.

thank you guys :karate:

Judo, BJJ, Boxing, Mauy Thai, MMA, Kyokyushin Karate, Silat, some styles of Kali/eskrima (that would be lots of armed fighting), submission wreslting and Jeet Kun Do.

Hope that helps.

I'm surprised no one has brought up the Israeli art, Krav Maga. If you mean "rough and dirty" the way I think you do, I've never seen anything like Krav Maga.

My former dojo used to teach it and although I've never practiced it, I sat through lessons and it made my eyes pop halfway out of my head.

Thats quiet true Curare. Krav Maga is a very modern and realistic fighting method. It seems to work for the israel military.

I'd recommend going to diff. schools in your area and watch a class. That will give you a feel for what goes on in there. Make sure it's going to be a place that you'd want to be in, not "We hate you we train to hurt you, everyone should step out of our way" type of dojo. This will be directly opposite of what you'd try to gain w/ Aikido.
