Hey there, I'm a new student of GoJu Ryu in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. I've been wanting to do martial arts since I was a young child, but my parents never had the money for it. I am now 16, and can afford to pay for it myself , starting a tad late! No worries though. Anyways just wanted to say hi! And if anyone could offer me some tips and ideas on how to get the most of my Karate Experience, It'd be apreciated. Ty!

I'm starting to think goju-ryu is a really popular style. I'm still deciding on either shudokan or goju-ryu(okinawan). Anyway welcome to the forums.

I did not pick it due to the style though :P I basically, wanted to try something out, so I joined this one. Supposedly it's one of the top 6 traditional karate styles.
