NinjaMaster Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Which technique works best for you and which is your favourite if they are not the same. Mine is fairly boring and is the left hook. just that im good at it and can make it work well for me in sparring as it is fast and strong.
mArTiAl_GiRl Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Hmmmm......... I don't really have any favourite technique.......but Shuto Uke works best for me and I guess it's my favourite one too. (I mean, the shito-ryu's shuto uke, not wado-ryu). Kill is love
NinjaMaster Posted March 18, 2003 Author Posted March 18, 2003 What is Shuto Uke i dont do karate so i dont understand the original names
mArTiAl_GiRl Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 ops, sorry. I thought you do karate. It's a bit difficult to explain what Shuto Uke is, but it's a block with the hand while you have the cat stance. Kill is love
BKJ1216 Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 I don't know the name but mines the reverse punch, simply because I don't remmber how to do anything else. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
NinjaMaster Posted March 18, 2003 Author Posted March 18, 2003 Fair enough I see like most westerners we favour using our hands. In thailand its the feet or legs. Games like tag are played with the feet by kids and not with hands
BKJ1216 Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 What about Aikido? Aikido dosn't use it's feet at all and it comes from the East. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
superleeds Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 What is Shuto Uke i dont do karate so i dont understand the original namesKnife hand block. Read a book!
superleeds Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 My favourite technique is probably a combo with a sidekick and a reverse punch. Read a book!
