kle1n Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 i personaly would say win chung, bjj isnt that a sexy mix? Be everything. Be nothing.
Kensai Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I am hoping to do a similar mix of Ki Aikido, Judo and Wing Chun or perhaps Kenpo.
jmy77 Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I don't knwo much about wing chun other than my sensei has taken it and prefers kenpo.... I would reccomend kenpo because it's stirkes are simple and to the point. There is no set up, It's get inside, hurt'em and get out... Even in the low ranks the techniques are effective... "Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft." - Pres. Theodore Roosevelt "You don't have to like it, you just have to do it." - Captain Richard Marcinko, USN, Ret."Do more than what is required of you." - General George S. Patton"If you have to step on someone else to stand tall, then you truely are a small person." - ?
SandanPJ Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I took Aikido then Kenpo and I would say it is a good mix as well. Nick Cerios Kenpo teaches Kenpo Karate and Juijitsu...Which in it self is a good blend. But I would say Aikido is an excellent style all it's own.
TJS Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 somethign that you learn quickly and works under stress.
Karateka_latino Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Kenpo, Judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, Iaido, maybe Chito ryu karate.
kle1n Posted March 19, 2003 Author Posted March 19, 2003 yeah guys but there is a problem i mean like u need to train 3 styles to be good rounded but for more no one has time right? like 2 times a week bjj 2 times a week aikido and 2 times a week win chung but i am actually thinking of only adding bjj but its quite hard to find a bjj school in germany and i am looking for a japaenese grappling art except judo and bjj is the only one right? thx Be everything. Be nothing.
Kyle-san Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 and i am looking for a japaenese grappling art except judo and bjj is the only one right? thx Try looking for a Jujutsu school, it'll give you that well roundedness that a lot of people are looking for and it has the Japanese grappling element to it. Just make sure you get a good instructor.
Kensai Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 Grappling does not get much better than BJJ and Judo if I am honest. Perhaps Kito Jujutsu, but they are thin on the ground outside of Japan. If you REALLY like ground work then Kosen Judo would suit you, but like you said, you dont want Judo or BJJ.
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 why don't you want, bjj or judo, im pretty sure theres a good jeet kune do, organisation out there in germany "When we go to the ground, you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark, and most people don't even know how to swim"
