Are there any weight restrictions at dojos?

Don't worry about your weight. You're on the right track: strarting MA would do you good, it'll help you become FIT (yes, you'll be fit :)), healthy, full of energy and with a high self-esteem. Not to mentin the succes with the chicks :D

 

Go to a place you feel welcome and train your b..tt out. You'll see the results in weeks. And then it only gets better. Guess I'll have to send you a picture with me in a bathing suit :D :D :D

 

Anyway GOOD LUCK. Don't worry. You'll be fine ... and we here are to help you

Size 4 or 5 will be too small, Size charts should cover waste size as well. If it is not there ask. You will have to hem the pants and sleeves though.

We have had a few people with 44 inch waists in Pro Force 8's. If all else fails often a dry cleaners will have an alterations person if no one you know sews.

 

It might very well be a good idea to make sure what you need is a basic white gi before you actually get one though.

Right. The top may seem long on you in relation to the way other peoples tops seem but don't worry about that.
