Well I'm a rather large person. I was wondering if the dojo I select is going to have weight restrictions. And even more important if I can find a gi that fits my fat ass. Is there a big and tall store that sels gis? lol

If there isn't a big and tall store for karate then it looks like I'm gonna have to make a custom fitted one. I shoudl probably ask my instructor because he is a pretty big guy.

Alright I'm 5'8" 280 my jeans are 44x32 so I guess I have a 44 inch waist. Is there any size that fits that?

Well I think size 4 would fit best only problem is that I'm about 100 pounds too much for it it's waist is 31-45 or something like that and the heigh is 5'5"-5'8" the only problem is that the wieght is only to 170.

i very much doubt there is a weight restriction at dojos, everyone should be able to learn.

and yeah im pretty sure you'll be able to get a gi in your size.

Well so far size 4 and 5 are the best matches. How important is the weight factor? I mean what does it control on the gi? Is it about tearing it or how tight it will be or what?
