Bet the pass line, double your pass bet when backing

Place the six and eight (second best odds to seven)

that's my game! Sometimes I'll throw in on the field or bet a hardway.

yeah i am small bettor also - keeps it fun!

I have all sorts of personal rules - like if you lose 3 consecutive hands at at blackjack/three card -get up!, NEVER CHASE!, and if you are up big walk away - don't get greedy! - all streaks end!

I doubled my money at a three card table once and got up to leave, the other players were telling me I was crazy for walking away while hot! The dealer however said it was a smart move!

"You don't have to like it, you just have to do it." - Captain Richard Marcinko, USN, Ret.

Sweet, I'm actually going to Vegas for the first time next week. I'll have to try out some craps now.

Where did you all stay? I'll be at the MGM Grand.

How many plan on taking a vacation this summer? Do any of the vacations require air travel? If so, do you think that the current state of affairs, such as the high price of gas affect your decision to follow through with your plans due to the increase of airfare?

On that note, KickChick since you are a travel agent, do you see any airfare wars on the horizon? :brow:

Well, actually not an agent (but I work in an agency). And yes I travel ALOT!! :brow:

I answered you (elsewhere) but I will post for the benefit of members here.....

... there are several fare wars going on now with many carriers.

United Airlines, who is in bankruptcy, is offering some very good deals. They've not only announced deals on coach fares, but also on business-class fares.... so is American Airlines.

When you're pricing your trip using whatever source you want (travel agent or internet), keep in mind that the old rules are changing.

Old Rule: You have to stay over a Saturday night to get the best airfare.

New Rule: Not necessarily. The smaller carriers (Frontier, Spirit, etc.) have ignored this rule for awhile. In the last several weeks, the larger carriers are slowly but surely dropping this requirement.

Old Rule: You had to stay at least two nights to get a decent fare.

New Rule: Again, not necessarily. The smaller carriers (again) started letting you fly into your destination on Monday and leave on Tuesday. The big carriers are just now starting to realize the potential and are following suit.

In 3 weeks (as long as the ports stay open) ... still unsure of whether trip is a go now with war on the horizon.

I will be cruising with my family and friends (group of 30 or so) to Belize & Western Carib. The group is TKD instructors, students & parents .... "Kickin' in the Caribbean" is what we are calling it!

Man, I'd love to go to Vegas. I do scratch-off lottery tickets. That's as far as I go with gambling. But I won almost 500 this year on them (not all at once, though).

We stay at the Paris. I haven't stayed at MGM. I hate to say it, if your not familiar with craps i would go to the free lessons that casinos offer. It's a quick game with a lot going on. It's an easy game to learn and play, but can be a little intimidating. You'll know the craps pit if you follow all the screaming and shouting - what a game ! LAS is a lot of fun if you haven't been there before, there is so much to see and do. If you do anything out there do this, take the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower - it's about 15-20 bucks but well worth the trip. Go at night and stay up there until the Bellagio Fountains get going.

Have FUN !!!

The last vacation I took was to Glacier national park. I posted a thread on that in the general chat but not to many people commented on it (thanks Leaf!) which is too bad cause there are some really good pictures on that site. Plus you get to see what Aubs (that's my nickname) looks like after being in the woods for a week. :o Scarey sight, I guarentee :o

Ok, I've been checking airfare for our trip to Kauai, and with all the chaos with the war, and people cancelling their vacations to stay close to home, the airfare seems to be climbing instead of dropping. I know the airlines are in a world of hurt, but seriously, do they think people will pay the high prices they're asking for? Deb, anyone, any answer to this?
