Kensai Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Stole the SHAOLINS BOOKS. No offence, but this old fella sounds like he has been drinking to much rice wine. When the CHINESE GOVERNMENT, tried to KILL all the SHAOLIN. Many fled to different countrys like Japan and Korea. Others moved to other parts of China creating there own styles, like Choy Li fut and Wing Chun. It just so happened that the Monk that specialised in Chin Na (Qin Na), fled to Japan. Chin Na being a locking and breaking art was the bases for the japanese jujutsu arts. These they further refined and perfected over about 800 years of civil war in mainland japan. As for women not studying Kung Fu, well a Nun created Wing Chun so thats not really true either. Try and sobber him up and then I am sure he'll tell you something useful.
BKJ1216 Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Uhhh you know there is a school in new york that has a actually sao-lin monk teaching the style. SO I guess anyone in newyord can lean it now. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
Smith amp Wesson Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 I think what he ment was that these devious samurai in ancient times,Got envious of them shaolins & decided to sneak into china....then a monastery........ & steal books on wrestling moves.
Karateka_latino Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 It's Very very Hard to really know what happend because nowbody is old enough. There isn't just one human being alive that can be witness. The History isn't clear. Now, that story about the Samurais stealing Books from Shaolin Monks reminds me the Plot of a Kung fu movie called "Duel to the Death" lol Ninja stealing books from Shaolin from orders of the Japan's Emperor. lol!
Kensai Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 Its not the Samurai's fault that they were SOOOO much better than the Shaolin peasants........ Just trolling......
