Group and private lessons have their advantages and disadvantages. As you might expect, an advantage in one is a disadvantage in another. I'd recommend doing a little of both if possible. Good luck! I enjoy doing karate with the people in my class, we all come out and encourage each other at our gradings soooo Rule #1: Play the game to the limit. Damn the consequences.
