Iron Fist 05
I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I want to know. At first I thought that you didn't always have to be drunk to do it, atleast not to learn it. But I heard that you always have to be drunk to practice and use it. So what's the deal? HachiKyu
Same with the five animal forms, you don't have to be an animal to do it you just have to have that kind of thinking its in the mind... so if your practicing drunken style then the moves are of that, that look like someone who is actually drunk they are unreherssed and poor form and stance but can be evaisive as well. monkeygirl
I believe some of the idea behind Drunken Boxing is that you look harmless. You look drunk, and would be "easy" in a fight. If you actually ARE drunk, it's going to impair your judgement and you will probably forget your Drunking Boxing skills. Also, martial arts usually advocate having a healthy body...and constantly being drunk would make your liver beg for mercy. Even in the Jackie Chan movie, he learned that being drunk while doing Drunken Boxing was very dangerous 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard. ramymensa
I would prefer to act naturally. look fit and powerful, even if I'm a girl Pretending to be feeble and innofensive doesn't look good on me. And I guess the chanses of being provoked are bigger when one looks like an easy target World Shotokan Karate
