not necessarily..... both take advantage of the laws of physics -sometimes laws that werent known before the ideas were developed....

They both take advantage of impulse and conservation of momentum..... i would personally say soft is easier [physically] to apply whereas hard can take years of training to develop the ofrce..... where as soft take years to develop the accuracy and control.

So is shudokan karate hard or soft?

Almost all karate is mostly Hard. But remember there is no go without ju, or ju without go. (go is hard, and ju is soft).

And that is the beauty of Goju Ryu.....Hard AND Soft, BUT....and this is the key....Goju is about being BOTH AT THE SAME TIME

Can you tell me were is the ju(soft) in GoJu ryu ?????

from the way i c it , it's 90% hard

If shidokan then it's a hard style , extra hard in fact
