Karateka
I don't know whether this is aimed at a person or not. If it it aimed at a person, I would recommend you use the Private Messaging system. If it is aimed at the general public, could you please clarify your post? Thank you. Iwant2BaDragon
I really dont even get the importance of belts. At my club they seem to stand for nothing. There are orange belts better than green belts, green belts better than blackbelts !!! Also maybe there should be a different set of rules for under 16s becuase the standard of under this age is so different to that of adults of the same colour belt. Empty your mind : be formless, shapeless like water. Now you can put water inot a cup and it becomes that cup. Now water can flow and it can crash. Be water. Gorgoth
Are you in Jeet Kune Do? (JKD Kid) If you are... I would be surprised if there were belts... Bruce Lee believed the only function of belts was to hold your pants up... he didnt believe in using them as a ranking system... (Information from The Tao of Gung Fu) My system of Goju-Ryu has two belts... White... and Black... Although it will probably take around 5 or 6 years for me to reach Black... -Gor Student- Okinawan Goju-Ryu: Miyagi Style

The JKD Kid
Hey Gorgoth, your right, my system doesn't use belts. Bruce didn't think they were usefull. Like Bruce Said, "Belts are only good to hold your pants up" We train to learn how to fight, and its never ending. PS. Yes I'm in Jun Fan/ Jeet Kune Do. _________________ "Control your emotions, or they will control you" Bruce Lee [ This Message was edited by: The JKD Kid on 2002-01-17 11:36 ] "Control your emotions, or they will control you" Bruce LeeWhat Belt am I?
