Iron Arahat Posted August 26, 2001 Posted August 26, 2001 I teach to give back to the community I live in, and out of respect for my Sifu. I run a non-profit organization, that has training fees of $350/year canadian (so obout $210 US or 130 pounds) for training four days per week. I train fighters for free, so long as they are dedicated. thaiboxerken Posted August 26, 2001 Posted August 26, 2001 I think there is a place run by Yamasaki there. It'll be called Yamasaki's something or other. They have a decent Muay Thai program run by Mike Moses and you'll get lots of other training also. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
MuayTB1 Posted August 27, 2001 Author Posted August 27, 2001 You, think you can be my trainer for free someday for fights? If you give your self a rating as a fighter from 1 to 10 what would you give your self? How about as a teacher? 1 being the worst and 10 the best. "Don't think!! Prodigy-Child Posted August 27, 2001 Posted August 27, 2001 iron arahat...........i think it is great what your are doing for the community. the yearly fee isnt much so it opens up the door for underprivliged kids to do martial arts and the fact that you train fighters for free is amazing.....cuz they wont have to bust their ass working just to pay to get trained You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!-Chris Rock
Iron Arahat Posted August 27, 2001 Posted August 27, 2001 Thank you...the fighters still pay the annual dues, but we hold extra training for them. Believe it or not very few people want to fight because of the time commitment involved. I just want to teach my art, and do my bit to keep the out commercialism. MuayTB1 Posted August 27, 2001 Author Posted August 27, 2001 Is the school you said a San Shou school? I wasn't clear at frist, i live in middlesex county NJ and I am look for a really really really good san Shou or Muay thai school. New York is far but I guess it is the closest to me. Do you think it is worth it driving 45 mintues each day to go to a school or take a bus? "Don't think!! Iron Arahat Posted August 28, 2001 Posted August 28, 2001 Yes, the school is a San Shou school. Yes, it is worth a 45 minute drive (I drive 8 hours- one way to train with my sifu) if you want to train san shou. website is: http://www.angelfire.com/ny/sanshou/ Martial Arts School http://www.shaolinwushu.cahttp://www.liveyyc.comCalgary Photographer: http://www.jdirom.com
