monkeygirl
I love TKD. I'm naturally flexible, so having a style that lets me kick above my head is pretty nice. I'm also naturally short When you're 5'2", reaching with your legs is sometimes the only way you can reach! I love forms, because I'm a ham. I know that when I do a kata, everyone is looking at me...so I want to make them go "wow!". Doing that at a tournament where nobody knows me, is one of the biggest thrills. As far as sparring goes, well that's a love-hate relationship. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. Sometimes it's just OK. I pretty much love everything about it, including teaching it! 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard. karatekid1975
Me, too. I love forms. I am doing Taeguk 5, but my fav (in TKD) so far is taeguk 4. Like Monkeygirl, I like to do a well-done form I'm big on technique, so when I do a form and nail the techniques, that is the biggest rush I try to be sharp and make my techniques "snap." It's the coolest feeling Laurie F
monkeygirl
Oops, forgot to pay attention to this thread. Let's see...I believe my forms are pretty close to ITF forms. My spelling is mostly phonetic on these, since I've rarely seen them written: Yellow Belt: Chung-ji (White belts do the first half of this form) Orange Belt: Toe-San Green: Pinyon 2 (advanced form 2) Blue: Yol-Guk Purple: Pinyon 4 Red: Pinyon 5 2nd Brown: Ha-wang (I think it's supposed to be spelled hwaorang) 1st Brown: Chung-Mu 1st Black: K-Beck That's it for open-hand forms. 1st dan & Asst.
