monkeygirl Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 Getting off-topic here... Are there any more forms of ninjitsu to list? 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
SaiFightsMS Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 Many styles of ninjitsu stayed within the extended family group and were not taught to outsiders. I am not sure that it would be truly possible for a westerner such as ourselves to come up with a comprehensive list of ninjitsu styles or schools. And another factor is that many Japanese thougt of those involved with ninjitsu the way many westerners think of snipers - not favorably. Now I don't mean martial arts fanatics I mean the average citizen.
omnifinite Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 From what I've heard, in the past ninjas were seen a bit like today's gansters. You don't really respect them for who they are and what they do, but you sure as hell don't mess with them either. A respect through fear sort of situation. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
SaiFightsMS Posted February 27, 2003 Posted February 27, 2003 Strange analogy but respect through fear is a very apt description.
Ashura Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 well see this whole argument of where this topic should've been placed would've been solved if there was a Japaense forum, like I suggested Yup
