definately bring someone. remember that this IS the internet and thousands are harmed by stuff like this every year. and make sure someone knows where your going and when you'll be back.

why is this even a discussion of course you should bring someone , what if this guy is a wacko?

Bring a friend and your self-defense training ;)

If you can, find out what dojo this person is from, if he currently has one. Get a phone number for it, and ask them if they have a student by that name. If he freaks out that you're taking these precautions, that's a bad sign. He should be understanding and cooperative.

Good luck and be careful :karate:

the guy told me where he trained and i gave me a link to the website so it looks legit don't know if he goes there......

I'm not gonna give out any information about myself over the internet like where i train and what school i go to and stuff which is what he asked

P.S. I'll bring a big friend and thnx for not making me feel like iam paranoid

I don't know if it looks like a good club I don't see what real harm it could do. However if he wants to meet you in the street well then stay in the car. LOL.

I think I would meet him fist. Maybe just stop by his club and watch classes and get to know him.

When you cross styles you run into problems when sparring. Some don't teach leg kicks other do, some don't throw others do, When grappeling some usee PP others don't.

Bottom line its a good idea to know who you going to train with.

However finding sparring partners on line is not a good idea. IMO.

Yeah, bring a friend and watch a class or two before you commit to sparring him.
