Actually this is the only message board I can think of that I haven't seen any dirty links on.

(hmm... p.o.r.n. is censored... is my moral fiber really going to rot away if I see the word p.o.r.n.?)

but what if the nudity is martial arts related?

there was this one brilliant chinese clip i saw that was basically a porno version of some of the jet li style martial arts movies (you know, the ones where they call out the attack before they do it, and there is flying, etc). it is really quite funny, even moreso than http://www.theforumisdown.com/images/funny/ninjalesson.jpg (you will need to copy this link and open it in a new window/tab)

I'm a writer, so the misspells and poor grammar really stand out to me, but I recognize that English is not everyone's first language, and most people don't really care too much about it in such an informal atmosphere. Nevertheless, I im slowlee goin insayn, and my wryting ish deteereatein frum thuh inluensis on this siyt.

Also people saying that traditional styles are outdated is nearly homicide-inducing. :kaioken: Must. Control. Anger. Don't. Let. Them. Win. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

Might as well take my advice--I don't use it anymore.

I think that everyones opinion is helpful even if you don't agree with it. I have posted my opinion on a lot of things. However I try to stay civil and not upset anyone. Which I think a lot of other people do also. You can disagree with something and not be mean about it. You also have to be able to recieve criticism. In my opinion ( ) that is one thing MA should be teaching you.

I put all of the above on the poll because those are all questions that will always raise a lot of controvesy. Well most of them anyway.

I mayself do not have good grammar and spelling skills. However I do try to keep it understandable. Also I understand anyone who is from another country have trouble with spelling and grammar.

I personally don't like Bruce Lee, but that is my PERSONAL opinion. Take what you want from it. I do however respect him for a Martial Artist and a pioneer.

Some of you many know that I do not think any style rises above another. My opinion is the pesons mentallity is what makes each style effective. You have to want to and learn how to apply things in each style.

So none of those question I think really should be considered getting you in trouble, but you will have to realize that they will always be contrevsial.

Yes, we do make a great effort to curtail all profanity and inappropriate content. The censor was an automatic install, so we have had to edit it a bit and I have removed porn from the censor.

Some people don't realize that we actually have to wait for this content to be posted before we can remove it. :) It has to be posted first, so yes, some people are going to see it, but it will be removed as soon as it can be.

well, i dont belive that a person should be a black belt under the age of 18. Mainly because, if a child the age of 10 has a black belt and gets attacked by a 20 year old with no martial arts training, who do you think will win. Do you think the 10 year old will even get a hit in before he is knocked out. It gives a child false confidence that they can do something they CANNOT. IMO it is a discrace to the style to see and person with a black belt not be able to even come close to defending there self against an attacker with little if any MA training. There for I think children should not hold the rank of a black belt. A black belt used to mean something a while back, now you just pay the money and you can have one, even a small child :kaioken:

"Post that no one should be a black belt under the age of 18"

I oddly enough agree. I don't think people should be allowed to recieve the rank of shodan before the age of 18. I am not 18 and find myself placed in this exact situation. It is not that I don't think I am capable of being a decent black belt, not at all. The reason I believe this is that through my expirence i have found enormous benefits from "being held back". I will have to wait another year and a half before I grade. Prior to this I have also been held back at other ranks, because I needed to be training with adults to move on, which I do now. Anyways over this time period I have developed many personallity traits that I might have not developed, or developed as quickly otherwise. My patience and ability to follow things through has increased immeasurablly. I have grown as a person and I think these are lessons that would benefit alot of "children". I also now hold much less emphasis on rank and focus on my training and development of self. A quote often posted on this forums is " the only benefit to the easy path is that it is easy" While my jourmney has in no way been easy, but it is worth it in every way. I would like to further this thought by suggesting that even adults before "held back" for an extra year or two, because many of them could also benefit from the same lessons, altough this will never happen :)
