Ali Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 I am not trying to insult anyone. But be careful, I see some tapes broadcasting about Chinese Kung Fu with animal styles is unreal. I forget about the name of that tape but the tape is to introduce martial art around the world and interview many martial artists, TDK, Karate coach, Wing Chun teacher and so on. In middle of that tape, a Chinese with little pigtail demonstrated with his Black student the application of Dragon, Tiger, Crane, Snake and Leopard one-by-one. His black student throw slowly typical Kungfu or Karate straight punch and stopped. That Chinese do 3 or 4 silly move to finish his attack and screaming on the same time. Later, he demonstrates his big mixture of animal styles, probably 7 - 8 animail syle in a form lasted only 1 mins. Just like Chinese herb can be treasure, but if you are not familiar with that would be easily cheated. Good Luck everybody. Hope that this is not a trend. jmd161 Posted April 26, 2003 Posted April 26, 2003 Ali, Sadly it does seem to be a trend around the world with bad kung fu and phoney kung fu.I hate to see this kinda stuff ,but i'm powerless to do anything about it. People just have to be more aware of looking into styles before they go and join a school. jeff The Basics Are The Hidden Secret To Kung Fu Master The Basics.
King of Fighters Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Are you a racist or something? How come you always had to say his black student? were you refering to his black belt or are you racist against black people?
JerryLove Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 I'd imagine he's trolling. https://www.clearsilat.com
Martial_Artist Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Hey King of Fighter, What are you upset about? Because Ali used a word? He's from HongKong. I understood his english to mean a black person. He couldn't say African-American because he doesn't know if the person is from america. He couldn't say African-European, or African-Asian, &c. He used the english word that most easily came to mind and I'm pretty sure he did it with no ill-will bore in mind. It's basic english. I spent several years living in SouthEast asia and the people there referred to people of African descent as the "N" word. Was it racist? Nope. They didn't do it out of prejudice. As I assume Ali isn't doing it out of racism. If a simple word has offended you perhaps you should take a deeper look inside. Especially since the context the word was used absolutely had no racial connotations behind it. If you have any comments PM me. Racism will not futher be discussed in this thread. It will stay on topic. MA. "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.Imagination is more important than knowledge.Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." Einstein

Ali Posted May 3, 2003 Author Posted May 3, 2003 hi, everybody. Yeah, Indeed, the word only to mean only a black person. Anyway, I would be sorry if anyone has hard feeling. By the way, nice to meet everybody here. Darkness grants me pair of dark black eye,Yet I determine to look for Brightness
ahgao Posted May 18, 2003 Posted May 18, 2003 In asia country, you wouldn't be able to see this sort of macdojo around becouse before you can really "fly" with your type of dojo, member of other clans or association would have visited you and scout around. If yours truly is macdojo, down you go... Macdojo is active in country out of asian region, why, free country, free speach, free.... Ignorance is the cause and education is the only medicine.
