BKJ1216 Posted April 2, 2003 Share Posted April 2, 2003 My dojo that is shudokan goes white white w/strp yellow gold blue purple green brown shodan-ho shodan and above then there are other like nidan and ikki kyu in which I have no clue in which order they go. btw karate-ka you do shudokan? Kyu grades start with higher numbers and count down. Dan grades start low and count up. The ho, shodan-ho, ranks are usually junior black belts. I see that some have more and some have less but it seems that the basics are always there in some form: White yellow/gold orange green blue brown black Why do they start light and get darker?
