Pacificshore Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Like you, I've only read a few articles about it and know that it's Russian in origin. Anything past that I have no idea. Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
Kyle-san Posted March 1, 2003 Posted March 1, 2003 I've never heard of it. Look at the copy of Budo magazine that's currently on the shelves, it has an article on Systema.
Kirves Posted March 2, 2003 Posted March 2, 2003 Today (sunday) was the second day of a local Systema seminar. From what I gathered during two days: very effective, very controversial. Everything is done in the opposite you usually do. They really go "with the opponent". When punched, you just go with it. No blocking, no diverting, nothing. Just go with it, do some natural stance altercations and he falls down. Take a hold and he's yours. That's what i got from 2 days of training.
