There is this Chinese Fighter in the Movie "The Quest" with Jean Claude Van Damme, who fights like a Snake. Does anybody recognize the Art? Even though you prolly cant street-fight with the Style(Just like the Capoeira Guy), it still looks cool. Any Websites or Information would be nice. THX

I haven't seen the movie so

not quite sure about the movement.

I thought animal style in westerner' eye

is something impractical.

Snake Fist is one of the animal style in

Chinese martial art world.

Snake Fist itself seldom form a single style

or school.

But many style or Kar has this, e.g Hung Kar, Choy Li Fut

& so on.

Usually snake fist would parry and attack human's

weak point like thoat, eye, heart, lung and joint

between bone. People doing snake fist usually

need to practise iron palm so as to strengthen

the finger bone.

The snake style is Called 'SheQuan' or " She Quan'

Not sure if there are other snake styles for Kung Fu, but you can find some very limited information the internet about She Quan

What would make you think you can't fight with Snake Style Kung Fu on the streets?

One would be very wrong if one did infact think that.

Snake Fist kung fu take alot of skill because you are striking to very vital areas of the body.
