cavalera Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 I would bump him up with my hips while pusing on them with my fists. then extend my hips out to the side, then quickly back out, which releases one of my legs into the half-guard. then figure out how to mount him from there. ZeRo Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 hit him repeatedly with the nose and eyes and try to get off the floor and onto my feet. then if all goes well ill do my latest kata i learnt in RUN-DO
Diocletian Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 I guess it all depends on the context. During a match or friendly spar, you aren't going to want to hurt your opponent (not too much, at any rate), so you're going to stick with established and fair techniques. If you're actually being attacked, well... anything goes. Fingerjab him in the eyes, bite him, claw him, grab his groin, basically do anything that you think is going to encourage him to retreat back outside your guard. From there, a lot of it depends on your style and what you're comfortable with. You might attempt a strike or take down from the ground, or you may just want to get back on your feet as humanly possible.
Control Point Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 this may seem way out in left field but im assuming by passing your guard you mean he has you in full mount? if thats the case id most likely try to pull in tight to avoid the forthcomming blows hes about to be sending to my face and hold him till he gets fatuiged or i figure out what i want to do, but definitly, block and guard damnit block ! then pray, then block and hope to hell you can get back to guard. If i still have all my blood it was a good fight, if not, it was a great fight._______________________________________Kenpo
Beer-monster Posted March 13, 2003 Posted March 13, 2003 Depending on how free my limps are. Grab, twist bite and claw. Gaouge eyes punch with ippon ken to the eyes and temples, jab the throat and claw the windpipe. Seise the balls and twist. All the dirty tactics that karate on the ground is for. Then I would push or yank on his supporting arm while he distacted and roll him over so I'm in the mount, punch him where it hurts and leg it, ot tie him up in a choke or a lock to snap a limb, depending on who his mates are. Mind, body and fist. Its all a man truly needs.
PowerTrip Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 Keep my hands free to block any shoots he is trying to lay into me, then take my legs and try to get them in between me and his stomach, grab hold of his arms, push up with my legs try to get him on is back and roll on top of him, then bring on the pain
jiu-jitsu fighter Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 If i was underneath him and he was on top of me, i would attemp to kick his knees or shins, right from underneath him.
