KickChick Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Send a special message to our men and women in the military defending American freedom worldwide. http://anyservicemember.navy.mil/ This site was created to show support for those who could potentially come into harms way. There is a warning on the site to those that want to criticize ethnic groups, religions or the United States..... there are newsgroups on the internet where that form of expression is acceptable.
G95champ Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 Good Deal (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
rabid hamster Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 I sent one. I hope they will read it. It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.
superleeds Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 Defending American freedom "worldwide is sort of contradictory KickChick. It suggests that you value the freedom of American's more than other people's. Read a book!
John G Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 (edited) KickChick has a heart of gold, I feel her support was directed more towards the frightened men and women on the front line rather than debating what is right or wrong. War is a terrible thing, and everyone’s life has equal value and meaning no matter what ethnic, religious or ideological background you come from. The worst thing about the Vietnam War wasn’t that it was wrong; it was how we treated our service men and women when they came back. Let us teach our children not to hate. KickChick Posted February 12, 2003 Author Posted February 12, 2003 Yes that is how my message was intended. Thank you for reply John ... I was only trying to do my small part ... Especially since this is a global community ... I am sure that our servicemen would value your messages at this time.
John G Posted February 12, 2003 Posted February 12, 2003 KickChick, If I could, I would send words of compassion to the mums, dads, sons, daughters, brother, sisters, husbands and wives on both sides. We all bleed and feel the same pain. John G Jarrett III Dan, ITF Taekwon-Do
KickChick Posted February 12, 2003 Author Posted February 12, 2003 Those of us that have or know a service man or woman serving do appreciate your sentiment ... Keep those messages coming ....
SaiFightsMS Posted February 13, 2003 Posted February 13, 2003 Also it would be good to remeber to give support to the families of reservists who have been called up.
