Just thought I would get all your opinions on this.

I think it is starting to become a show, but it however does show how well martial arts can be used. (at least grappling arts, my opinion, and keep in mind this is my OPINION, is that the UFC rules are geared towards grapplers.)

Feel free to tell me what you think. (make sure it is civil conversation.)

its not a "which style is better anymore" because the lines are blurred. it has become an event where " which fighter is better" , i still watch it but its not like it used to be ,

Yeah, the UFC is worse now, but at the same time it is a bit better. I dunno...

It has been ALWAYS a Show...

Just that the very first UFC's looked more like legit tournaments about martial Arts. but it was still mainly a show.

True, but still...it should remain (at least at it's core) on what it SHOULD be.

In order for the UFC to survive it has to become entertainment. Theyre tryin to build up certain fighters and get the whole WWF look to attract more people. But it doesnt effect the fighting. The first couple UFC's were the best. The "style vs Style" thing was amazing. But when brazilian jiu jitsu defeated everything, everyone learned bjj so now its not about styles anymore because everyone knows the same thing. It evolved. And its still evolving. Strikers are actually making a comeback because theyve learned how to defend bjj. Chuck lidel has an amazing take down defense and he knocks out people left and right, bjj stylists included.

I have to agree with you on your points, Vlad.

It has always been entertainment. I don't know how you would think otherwise.
