I just took my first karate lesson the other day and found out that you have to know the Japanese names for the stances and basic actions. If anyone can remind me of what they were, that would help me out alot. I'm taking the course at a Oyama Karate dojo. Any advice would be cool too. : :karate:

Hey karate members is this ok??? I am not sure ... but I do like how they have it presented.

This is broken down by "kyu" requirements ... I don't know how your school is :-? Good Luck to you!!! :karate:

Yeah, good link - nice presentation and details.

If you need help with pics, goto https://www.trakda.org.uk and look under Shotokan Karate basics. (if you scan around the kobudo pages you might find a piccy of me :D)

Give me a shout if you need help with anything else.
