First trip to Los Angeles

I will be spending a few days in Los Angles this weekend and was curious if you have any suggestions of things to do and places to avoid.  I'm probably going to check out Sunset Strip and Manhattan Beach.  Also, will be going to the KIA Forum for a concert. Not sure what else yet.  I've never been there and don't know what to expect other than a lot of traffic.  Any feedback is appreciated!

Dang, I am just seeing this now. Sorry. I hope you had a nice time. If for some reason you had to postpone, let me know, and I'll send you some recommendations.  I'm a few miles from the strip and would have been happy to get together for a coffee or something.

I actually got back tonight and was on Sunset Strip Saturday night.  I'd be happy to hear any recommendations; I had a good time and hope to visit again.  Thanks for the coffee offer, might take you up on that on my next visit. 

Besides Sunset I went to Manhattan beach, Long Beach, and the Hollywood sign.
