Dexter Resurrection (possible spoilers)

Featured Replies

WARNING FOR POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!

Anyone else watching this new Dexter series?  I was a huge fan of the original, and then loved what they did with New Blood, and Original Sin, and so far this has been great as well.  I was concerned that they might be dragging it out too much and it would get lame, but so far the writing has been brilliant.  Michael C, Hall is back as Dexter, this time trying to reunite with his son, Harrison, who works at a hotel in New York City.

As with many shows, the more I see it the better the show gets.  Six of the ten episodes are available, I hope it will keep getting better.

Well this was shocking.  Dexter Original Sin, the prequel to Dexter, was CANCELLED! :kaioken:

This is upsetting not only because I was a huge fan of the first season, but the network had already announced that it was renewed for a second season, and the writers were working on the show.  On top of that, Dexter OS was the second most streamed show in the history of Paramount, only behind Dexter Resurrection.  This is one of the most head scratching decisions I've ever seen in TV.  Why would you cancel a show that is a huge hit, that has a loyal audience, and was already announced and started working on the next season?? It might be because of the new CEO.

Paramount merged with Skydance earlier this month and the new staff appears to want to go in a different direction.  This happens all the time in business.  Some new boss comes in and changes what is working so they can put their own stamp on the brand. They could have just done one more season.  The writers would have made it work and taken it right up to where it needed to be.  What a terrible way to treat their supporters, the supports of their biggest and second biggest show of all time.  This is an outrage.

I am VERY ANGRY!!! :kaioken::kaioken::kaioken::kaioken::kaioken::kaioken::kaioken::kaioken:

Guess we don't have any Dexter fans on here.  The ending of the first season was outstanding, and one of my favorite Dexter episodes yet.  Season 2 is yet to be renewed but lots of talk about their being a second and third season already planned.  Hope it happens.

Actually i have been a Dexter fan for years, i just haven't got around to watching the new show yet (too many things on plus my other half doesn't watch it so it is added to the long queue of programmes to watch when i have a moment myself!).

Glad to hear it is not being dropped though as that makes it more worth watching!!

Original Sin is a great show.  I recommend watching it since you are a fan of the series.
