Watched it again for the first time in a few years.  It is unlike any other martial arts movie I have seen, and one of my favorites.

YouTube.  It was on Netflix years ago, not sure if it is anymore or not. 

I just saw this one, streaming on Kanopy. It's kind of a Cobra Kai- Fight Club mashup. Dark, funny with a dead serious face. It hits all the stereotypes about bad Karate schools- the sadistic sensei, silly origin story, mumbo-jumbo philosophy, homoeroticism, hyper-masculinity & misogyny, overly devoted students.

It does have a title that sounds like the 70s, but yes, that is the one.
