I recently was turned onto this app called Too Good to Go. Basically, the premise is that bakeries and restaurants in your area can put together bags of random, assorted goods that are left over, and sell the bag at a reduced rate. You don't know what you are getting specifically, though you have a general idea (like "pastries," or "boba drinks"). They say this can help reduce food waste while, at the same time, saving you some money on food.

I have been surprised at the availability in smaller areas, not just in major cities. You use the app to find a place, book a bag and pay for it, and then you have to show up within a specific window to collect it. I've used it for bagels!

Thought it was pretty cool, so wanted to share: https://www.toogoodtogo.com/

I just downloaded their app. From what my wife and I saw as we were surfing the app is that we’ll be using it on a regular basis.

Prices blew me away. An $18 item was only $3.99!! Many businesses were right in my neighborhood as well as in the general areas in Las Vegas.

Thanks for sharing this app with us. Gotta make an order…can’t wait!!

:D
