KorroddyDude Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Although it's been awhile since I've seen it, I've noticed some people with four sides of embroidery. Obviously, when two sides are embroidered, it's name in katakana on one side and association in kanji on the other. What are on the other two sides for those with four sides embroidered?
sensei8 Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 I imagine so that person can just slap on the belt without first lining up the embroidery to make sure that they face outward. Don’t think that I’ve ever seen a belt with 4-sided embroidery, just on 2 sides. **Proof is on the floor!!!
Wastelander Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 There are very few companies offering embroidery that only shows up on one side of the belt, which is necessary in order to put different embroidery on both the front and back of both ends of the belt. I've never actually seen a belt that was embroidered on both sides like that in real life, but I have seen some examples online. Most were either the exact same embroidery on both sides so that they don't have to worry about which direction they put their belt on, as Bob suggests. Some had Japanese or Korean on one side and the English translation on the other. That's all the examples I can think of. It's very much not a typical practice.
