Kirves
BTW: I know a friend who studies European Kyusho Jitsu Tuite, which is a system based on similar stuff Dillman teaches, but has a more realistic approach to it, it has more wrestling and other aspects to it. They have mandatory "kyusho sparring" which means live sparring with the kyusho point stuff in it. But no, they don't do no-touch knock-outs in sparring nor do they claim to. They do have no-touch ko's but only as a ki focus exercise at the higher black belt levels.
jeffin
As a matter of fact I am not illiterate I am not questioning the reality of the technique in a fight I am questioning the whole charade. I have not met a person willing to try the technique on me, though I have seen a demonstration and requested it and was politly refused. Only his students were used. Has anybody seen the 51st state PoS 51. 10 points for the person that makes the connection between the two. pete, The superior man is modest in his speech, but excels in his actions.Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC)Crosstraining in bjj/silat/muaythai/jkd/JJJ/kickboxing

JerryLove
I've never seen an actual KO done completely sans touch. I've seen light-touch ones (can do several), I've seen no-touch effects (can so several). never seen someone drop to the floor without being touched. Maybe it cna be done, and maybe it cannot. I don't know. I'm very dubious about most people who claim they can. (as many of you should be dubious about some of the claims I just made). https://www.clearsilat.com

That's good. That's why I'm all for "shut up and go see for your self".

Ender
I think it could be possible, but there are so many fake stuff out there who knows what's real and what's not. Yellow Belt W.T.F. TKD
Kirves
I think it could be possible, but there are so many fake stuff out there who knows what's real and what's not. Luckily, as far as fighting skills are concerned, these no-touch KOs aren't that important anyway.
shortstick
Well did not mean to set any of you on your ear....I have no doubt that Dilman and his systems are sound. He has two books out "The Dillman method of pressure point FIGHTING" and "Advanced pressure point FIGHTING of Ryukyu Kempo" In the 60's he was a boxer and karate tourny champ. He also held the world record for ice break until several years ago when Grandmaster Samual Kuoha broke that record. Yes, ice breaking, PASSIVE knock outs, those are a cool demo of a studied principle. I attended years ago a seminar by Wally Jay and felt the pain 1st hand by the manipulation of pressure points. My point is not to doubt how valid it is.....but I find it strange to hear people say "Of course it's not for fighting" Then what the heck is it for. The titles of the books suggest it is for fighting......and I would bet a guy like Dillman could lay down a bunch of damage in a fight. It would just be nice to see his target in motion! Would'nt you like to see that? Its like buying a car, you want to see that it works, not just stand there and look at it! Until i can see a video of a person in attack mode being knocked out by that method (not a full on punch combo) it leaves me wondering???
