  • I’ve been digging through some old books in the attic for re-reads. I just started Star Wars: Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn. It’s the 20th anniversary edition so they had the author put in footno

  • I think this counts? I was able to read the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Stranger Things collected series during my holiday travel. It was fun. A lot of great artwork.

And I'm now on the third book in the series, Onyx Storm! I'm about half way through. :)

I finished that one a few months ago, I enjoyed it. When I started the series I expected to hate it, but it was a lot better than I anticipated.

I read Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, a fantastic read if you haven’t read it yet.

I’m currently reading a book called Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing, it’s about Ernest Shackleton’s failed attempt to cross the Antarctic continent. If you like history, (I think we all do, no?), then I highly recommend picking this one up. A great story of struggle and perseverance.

I read that about two years ago.  Lots of good information, but some of it needs to be disregarded completely.  For instance, when it comes to building muscle, not only is he telling readers to avoid protein supplements - he's also telling them not to intentionally consume foods with naturally high protein content to build muscle.  You can tell by the context that he wasn't trying to challenge conventional wisdom when he said this.  He was actually completely ignorant on the subject.

I read it before as well, a few years ago, and I remember none of that.... but I mayhave forgotten

I make it a point to never take strength training advice from Martial Arts instructors.

I just started listening to the audiobook version of A Cook’s Tour: Global Adventures in Extreme Cuisines by Anthony Bourdain. There’s a version on Spotify that is narrated by Bourdain himself, definitely worth a read, but I do prefer hearing the author’s voice with this one.

I am in one of my reading slumps.  It has been a down year for my reading so far and I have no idea what book I want to start on next.
