jiu-jitsu fighter Posted January 22, 2003 Share Posted January 22, 2003 im a beginner in bjj( 4months) and i really like the basics, but i don't feel comfortable with alot if not most of tha advanced techniques im learning, should i chose to learn only those which i like? or should i learn them all evwn though alot( 50%) of them i really wouldn't use? or should i only absorb what i find usefull, and disregard what i don't? your help would be appreciated "When we go to the ground,you are in my world, the ground is the ocean, I am the shark,and most people don't even know how to swim" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What makes the differences a black belt between a blue belt for example, is that the black one, "master" the basics. Learn the basics first, how to get position, escape from them and so.. Kai Sai Wing Chun Kung Fu, JKD, Brazilian/Dan Zan Ryu Jujitsu, Chinese Hawiian Kempo, Pressure Point/Nerve/Cavity striking, and Tai Chi. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
